Stacey Broughton’s salon classic haircut is a modern version of this pure graduated shape. Note the sectioning pattern, curving around the head and moving from a diagonal horizontal plane to the diagonal vertical plane in the back area. An important key to the technique of over-direction is maintaining body position and tension to work together so the pure angle of graduation is achieved.
