The most important way to preserve this tool is to keep oil on the cutting edge. If you run it dry you’re gonna need to get another one because it takes a special tool to sharpen these. To sharpen them cost more than to buy another one. It’s also important have a good pair of scissors. I’ve got a pair that’s been handed down.
