How to Do a Skater Kid Haircut with a Razor

In this video, MC will be demonstrating how to cut long, men’s, hair using a straight edge razor.
-0:39 Start by wetting the hair and sectioning it horizontally.
-0:42 MC will start his straight razor technique by taking 1/4 of an inch to 1/2 of an inch horizontal section. This technique is used to remove length.
-1:25 He moves to using vertical sections about 1/2 of an inch thick. This technique will remove length along with making texture by removing bulk.
-3:31 You will see a sculpting technique also done with the razor.
-3:45 Returns to using horizontal sections for removing bulk and texturizing.
-6:38 Moves to the top of the head, still taking horizontal sections, moving from the back to the front.
